Simply masterful, there is no other way to describe Carlos Sainz’s race today in Singapore! My favourite Madridista, sorry Fernando Alonso – You are also in my heart! But today our Smooth Operator ran an excellent race. What a talented kid! In addition to winning, he was also voted driver of the day by the fans, which was well deserved. He has been on my radar for some time and the fact is that in 2023 he has had better results than Charles Leclerc at Ferrari.

Perhaps more than the results, it is impressive to see what hard, systematic and resilient work is capable of. Sainz has practiced a persistent and pragmatic insistence with Scuderia Ferrari. In many races he was better than his teammate, but had to accept orders to give Charles the advantage. With all due respect to Charles Leclerc, I love his driving style, but in many races, Sainz was better. And for some reason, he didn’t get the advantage, Ferrari stuff.
