A mesmerizing clash between an unstoppable force and an immovable object perfectly describes the end of the Austrian GP this Sunday, where Max Verstappen and Lando Norris collided. The maneuver showed Norris’s determination, as it was his chance to win the race. Due to a pit error and using worn tires, Max’s performance dropped, giving Norris the opportunity. But we’re talking about Max. It’s no secret that he’s a formidable competitor, often likened to Ayrton Senna for his aggressive driving style where he takes decisive actions, sometimes resulting in collisions.
Whether attacking or defending, Max plays his hand boldly. However, there are times when his aggressiveness crosses into questionable territory. Being tough is one thing; being unfair is another. Some of his actions could be seen in that light. Full disclosure, I might be a bit biased as a fan of Lewis Hamilton, but I’ve also admired Max’s skill and craft. After the race, Lando mentioned in an interview that he expects an apology from Max, who countered by calling it just part of motor racing. It’ll be interesting to see how this drama unfolds!
