Simply lovely!

I can hardly remember a race as amazing as the one Max just delivered in my hometow São Paulo. Of course, he’s had brilliant performances in the past as well—if I’m not mistaken, he ran an incredible race at Interlagos back in 2017. That drive was so impressive it helped secure his seat at Red Bull. But last Sunday? That was on an entirely different level.

Apologies, Lewis.—I know you’re the wet-weather master (that Silverstone race in 2008 was legendary!). But there’s no denying Max’s brilliance this time! Starting the race from 17th on the grid in treacherous, wet conditions, he overtook nearly everyone and finished with a jaw-dropping 19-second gap to the second-place driver. He even set the fastest lap, putting a full second on the rest of the pack—no lock-ups, no lack of grip.
