Smugglers join this evolving tradition, weaving a tale that celebrates resilience and defies expectation. It’s a testament to a cinematic wave that lifts women’s stories to new heights, alongside works like Mr. Sunshine and Ballerina, with countless others rippling outward.

Director Ryoo Seung-wan, whose craft was sharpened in the company of visionaries like Park Chan-wook, guides this story with a steady, masterful hand.
