More than a story about life-changing decisions, the film examines how the people we meet shape our journey—often in ways we don’t expect.

I often wonder how my life might have unfolded if I had chosen differently—or if I could still make new decisions now. At some point, we all find ourselves stumbling through life, and it’s the people who walk beside us that keep us moving. (Speaking of which, the Korean series Moving explores a similar theme with remarkable depth.)

At its core, Broker highlights how even the simplest interactions can leave lasting imprints. The film challenges us to go beyond surface-level empathy and truly step into another person’s shoes. Sometimes, understanding others isn’t about analyzing their actions—it’s about seeing them.

The cast is outstanding, with IU delivering a particularly stunning performance—her growth as an actress continues to impress. Song Kang-ho, as always, brings incredible depth to his role, while Gang Dong-won and Bae Doona add layers of complexity and warmth to the story. Lee Joo-young also shines in a subtle yet impactful performance. In a nutshell, Broker is a film that speaks to everyone.
