Hooray! Once more, Rodrygo delivers! He netted the opening goal against City at the Etihad Stadium! He’s shaping to be Manchester City’s top adversary in the UEFA Champions League!

Real Madrid’s masterful Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is renowned for his exceptional rapport with Brazilian players. And with forward Rodrygo, it’s no different. The coach praised the former Santos player and highlighted his importance to the team. Nevertheless, the coach still sees aspects that can be improved, but nothing too concerning.

“Rodrygo is currently in a good moment with his contributions to the team during matches, his work ethic, and his unwavering commitment,” stated Ancelotti. “While his finishing may be slightly less precise at the moment, this is not a cause for concern, as it has occurred previously. If it didn’t trouble us before, it certainly doesn’t now,” he added. Rodrygo has netted 13 goals in 38 appearances this season. Since his debut at Real Madrid, he has participated in 203 matches and scored 50 goals in total. The Brazilian played a pivotal role in securing the Champions League title during the 2021/2022 season, notably clinching victory in the semifinal against Manchester City with two crucial goals in the final minutes.

He reached the amazing mark of 19 goals in the Champions League with Real Madrid, and he is already the 9th player with the most goals for Real Madrid in the entire history of the Champions League.
