There’s no better way to say it than “hanging up the cleats,” which is a very common expression in Brazil whenever a footballer retires. And our Toni Kroos, the Real Madrid maestro, has executed it with exceptional finesse! He had no intention of sitting on the bench. As if he ever had a low performance, never! Well done, Toni! We will definitely miss you. I imagine you’ve realized by now just how cherished you are, especially after witnessing the celebrations at Santiago Bernabeu after your final La Liga game. Writing this post was quite a challenge, especially for someone accustomed to witnessing your artistry on the field at least twice a week. Nobody prepares you for when the player you’ve admired the most says he’s going to retire 😭😭😭😭 10 years weren’t enough, but 20 or 30 wouldn’t be either 😭🤍.There’s no doubt you’ll be the player I’ll miss the most.
