Since last year’s World Cup in Qatar, I’ve been compiling this post about the exceptional player, Griezmann! His performances were exceptional, and I didn’t miss a single France game, largely because of him. As the current striker for Atlético de Madrid, he demonstrates remarkable mobility and finishing prowess on the field. Versatility is his forte, excelling as a brilliant midfielder, particularly in France, where his performances are most captivating. Griezmann’s on-field contributions encompass retrieving the ball, stealing, orchestrating plays, creating opportunities, assisting, and scoring goals – truly an all-around player.

Beyond the age of 30, a great player’s capacity to reinvent themselves becomes a crucial gauge of their skill. Griezmann, in my view, excels in this regard. His 2019 record-breaking €120 million transfer to Barcelona, making him the fifth most expensive player, was influenced by Barcelona’s challenge in replacing Neymar – a daunting task given the distinct characteristics of each player.

Griezmann, a World Champion in 2018 and ranked third in the Ballon d’Or that year, is consistently a team-oriented star. He displays a love for the game regardless of weather conditions, taking pleasure in both ball possession and passing. His exceptional skills shine even in tight spaces. Griezmann’s enjoyment in tackling and recovering the ball was evident in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he stood out as one of France’s top players and among the competition’s best.
