Despite diving into weighty themes like corruption, violence, and social critique, the series achieves an unexpected lightness that keeps it thoroughly engaging.

Its accolades speak volumes, including numerous awards and securing the fourth spot on Forbes’ list of most-watched Korean series on Netflix in 2021. The action-comedy balance is impeccable, enhanced by a stellar soundtrack that heightens every moment. The cast brings their characters to life with such charm that even the occasional cheesy scenes feel deliberate, perfectly complementing the show’s tone. The villains, in particular, are unforgettable, with Ok Taec-yeon delivering a standout performance that leaves a lasting impression.
