Ever found yourself caught in the feeling of being trapped in a dark ocean? Gasping for breath with nowhere to go—what stirs these emotions, setting our senses on edge? Maybe a nightmare? A fleeting thought?

Lately, I’ve been exploring scriptwriting, just for fun, and a scene of someone drowning in that very sensation has been playing vividly in my mind. At the same time, words have been settling in my thoughts, taking shape, and to my surprise, they’ve started to rhyme. Somehow, they’ve woven themselves into something resembling a poem. It may not be perfect, but since this blog serves as a creative outlet—and a space for reflection—I’m proud of what I’ve written, especially considering that English isn’t my first language.

So here it is, a poem born from that feeling of being stuck, yet searching for a way forward:

Stuck

Trapped in the moment, no reprieve.
No options, no wealth, a life confined,
Body and soul, both left behind.

A switch, so simple—on or off,
Erase the past, let the weight fall off.
Time moves forward, but at what cost?
Thoughts collide, decisions lost.

Yet, in this maze where shadows press,
A spark still flickers, nonetheless.
For even in the deepest sea,
A distant light calls out to me.
