An authentic and modern detective story in the style of Agatha Christie, with a star-studded cast as a bonus. Knives Out is never monotonous and offers a stylish entertainment that is lacking in many productions! A purely entertaining film with a sharp social commentary on the United States today. Great writers have analyzed social classes in ways acceptable to audiences seeking to escape reality. The work here is subtle and well done, an extremely charismatic cast that bets everything on what they are doing.

Daniel Craig gives a show embodying a Southern accent and a huge ego in something memorable. He is charming, I love the emotion he evokes in each of his characters. Ana de Armas is the heart of the film and includes beautiful political commentary. There is a robust analysis of immigration and prejudice. It’s not as embedded as in the film Get Out, but this Out is similar in its use of the genre’s structure to say something about wealth and social inequality.

Ultimately, like the films and books that inspired this, it’s all about the detective, whose story unfolds in such an unexpected way that everything changes just when you think you’ve got it all figured out. When you finish, you’ll unravel your detective ingenuity, marveling at how the details of what happened that night unfolded and the social message embedded within it all.
