Mexico City is simply enchanting! The economic and political center of the country and also one of the most populous metropolises on the planet. It’s no surprise that the Mexican capital is busy and has unique aromas, flavours and characteristics. The sound of mariachis, spicy food (even at breakfast), tacos, parties and people make this a happy, vibrant and welcoming country. The leisure options are endless: museums, art galleries, primitive and contemporary buildings and endless gastronomic possibilities.
Every corner of this city holds surprises; architectural jewels from the colonial period, civil constructions, palaces and old convents. There is also a great diversity of natural beauty and the richness of pre-Columbian culture. One example is the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, a place beyond comprehension. Numerous archaeological monuments and living remnants of the traditions of the region’s ancient inhabitants exist, predating the arrival of Spanish colonizers. A unique and wonderful city that’s worth getting to know, definitely a place I’d love to call home.
